Terms & conditions

Please find below the ‘boring serious’ part. This is not to scare you but outlines some important information so you know what your agreement with me is, and exactly what we are each responsible for. Once understood, you can relax and enjoy your celebration, and more importantly your very delicious beautiful cake!

1. To reserve your date, a non-refundable deposit of 50% up to a maximum of £100 is required. Only once this is received, your is date reserved. If you choose to cancel, this will not be refunded. If I am forced to cancel due to illness or any reason beyond my control, you will be notified as soon as possible and refunded in full. The remaining balance for wedding cakes is due 30 days from the delivery/collection date and on collection for celebration cakes. If you choose to change your date, it may be possible to reschedule if that date is available. However, the price may be recalculated if it is further into the future and should my cost for ingredients etc increased.

2. Any changes in design or flavours can be made with notice of no later than 30 days before the cake is required and may result in additional fees depending on the work involved. Any changes after this date may not be possible.

3. Delivery and set up of wedding cakes is dependant on location, and will be charged with an additional fee. This will be outlined in the invoice and previously discussed with you.

4. Once the cake is delivered and set up at the venue, it will be left in perfect condition as it should be. I am therefore not held responsible if the cake is moved or damaged by somebody, it will be the responsibility of the venue.

5. Some of the decorations on the cake may not be edible, I will inform yourselves and the venue of this so that they can be removed before the cake is cut. If flowers are provided by an outside source, it is advised that these should be free from chemicals and a barrier placed between the cake and the flower stem as to not contaminate the cake. Please discuss with your florist which flowers work best positioned on an edible cake.

6. I cannot be held responsible for any damages to the cake after it has left the premises, if being collected. Each cake is assembled professionally and supported (if tiered) so will be absolutely fine if placed on a flat surface such as the footwell of a vehicle and driven carefully. Please do not place the cake in the refrigerator, please store in a cool dry place before it is required.

7. I always photograph my cakes, which might be used on my social media platforms or website. I will make sure this is only shared after your celebration.

8. All cakes are made in a kitchen that stores and uses wheat, dairy and nuts, amongst other allergens. I am able to cater for gluten free and vegan where these ingredients will not be part of the recipe, however there may always be traces, so if there is a severe allergy please inform me of this as soon as you can, but it is your responsibility to make your guests aware.

9. All details of your order will be outlined in your invoice, it is your responsibility to check these when received and contact me if there are any errors or if any changes need to be made.
